Ceiling fans full of junk

I expected so much more from a Hunter Douglas ceiling fan! The light is dim and the fan is ridiculously loud - unusable. I would like to return. Complete garbage.

Pros
  • Installer selectable 3-position mounting system allows for standard, low or corner installation
Cons
  • Annoying

Ceiling fans make a loud hum

The fan is very nice but noisy. Even at low speeds it hums loudly. Checked all the reasons listed on the web why it can make this noise but still has a loud hum. I would not recommend this fan.

Pros
  • Includes pull chains for quick and easy on/off and speed control
Cons
  • No insurance

Absolutely calm. in Lighting and Ceiling Fans

I bought this to replace an old fan that was starting to buzz loudly. I have installed at least 20 Hunter ceiling fans over the years and like all the others this one comes with clear instructions and all the parts needed and runs almost silently. Another winner from Hunter.

Pros
  • The reversible motor allows the fan to change direction from downdraft in summer, which helps cool the room, and to updraft in winter to circulate warm air under the ceiling.
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Big and Chunky - Ceiling Fans

Much bigger than they look in the pictures. Wouldn't have bought them if I had seen them in person first. The electrics are already installed in my new house, so I guess we'll live with that for a while. Also, they make a little noise. Honestly, if you're looking for a quiet and stylish fan that won't be the focal point of your room, don't buy one. I would not buy again.

Pros
  • 5 Light Gray Oak Blades Included
Cons
  • Poor Set

Purchased heater and noisy fan

The first fan came from Revain, installed by a licensed electrician. The fan made terrifying, piercing, headache sounds. Had contacted Hunter the tech said it was the motor and would send me another one straight away and ship the other one back. Sent back another replacement fan which came quickly. An electrician came to replace the fan and it turned out to be worse than the first, adding an annoying click to the rumble. I called Hunter while the electrician was trying to get rid of the noise…

Pros
  • Designed for indoor use only
Cons
  • Doubtful
