Great safety rope!

I was a bit nervous about using this with my climbing stand after reading some questions and answers about it not being suitable for climbing stands. It was perfect! You have both hands free when climbing a tree with the help of a climber (after you've pulled the top up and before you do the next "step") and it's VERY easy to move the rope up the tree while climbing. Leaving your climber in place for a while will make it even easier next time if you pull up the knot on the rope as you walk…

Takes tree safety to the next level

A great safety option for all tree hunters. Most falls happen when I step on and off the stand, which (somewhat) mitigates this issue. I film myself and cook a lot when I climb a tree - I don't have to wrap a rope around the tree and the hook. saves time and fear of falling. After using them this year, I'm going to equip each of my gimbals with them. The reflective rope looks a little strange at first - it's great for people who have never been to this stand, you can't miss it. Not good when…

Okay, but damn, that reflective material is BRIGHT.

Works great on ladder stands and monkey bars. Works well with climbers. Not sure how long it is, but I had to tie a piece of other rope to the bottom so I could use it with one of my larger coasters (climbers). The carabiner is durable and the plastic bell prevents it from hitting metal. The chenille knotted rope is heavy and easily slides up and down the lifeline and only when you want it to. I haven't crashed, but it looks like this system is working. The only thing I complain about is the…

Worth the price for family peace of mind

So far so good. I have 4 of these now. One normal and 3 reflective. I'll put them on my stands this weekend. I used to be careless with my belt and lock until I borrowed a buddy stand and even though I did everything right I fell. Luckily only a few feet off the ground but it gave me enough reality check to invest in some extra safety gear. I only gave 4 stars because I've (hopefully never) used them for anything other than traction when getting on and off the bike. If this ever happens and I…

Easier to use than I thought

I finally made up my mind and bought some of these. I tried to make them myself; but until I had to buy good climbing ropes and carabiners, it cost me almost as much as I paid for it anyway. They were easy to put on. HSS says they can accommodate a 30-foot Christmas tree; what they're going to do, you just have to tie the bottom end of the rope at about shoulder height. It only took me a moment to climb up and down the Prusik knot tree. I didn't seem to need any longer to get up or down from my

Without them the lock would not work

I personally know people who have been badly hit by curl and climber incidents. I've never used those uncomfortable and complicated seat belts that should come with luggage racks. Having 3 little girls at home makes me feel a little different about falling out of a tree after years of climbing countless trees and hanging from poles without any protection. male climber. BUY A COMFORTABLE BELT TO WEAR IT. Good HSS, I have a flexible hybrid that you will love and will become part of your main gear
