Colorful and cool but small. My son is 10 years old. He is thin but tall for his age. He also has a bubble butt. I can usually buy him size 12 shorts and they fit, but a size 12 in these doesn't even go over those hips. I traded for 14. They fit, but we're too tight to move comfortably (note: these shorts also only had 3 colors compared to the full rainbow). So I sent them back and enlarged them to 16. They fit perfectly and the colors look great. My son loves them!

My son is 14 years old but wears 12 year old clothes because he is slim. We bought a size 16 as it had an elastic waistband and as I'm ordering from overseas I didn't want to risk it being too small. He couldn't even get them on below the hips. These "size 16" shorts are not suitable for a child over 10 years old. They fit my girlfriends child who is 8 years old. better.

I bought four pairs of these - the first pair for my two boys was too tight and I was looking for something to grow into. My 12 year old is in the phase where 12s are a bit small and 14s are too big in regular pants and I bought him a 14 and it was too small but fit my youngest who is too big for a 10 year old but too small is a 12 and i bought him a 12. 16 and 14 fit them better and give them some room to grow although i suggest going up a size.
