🐶 Hurtta Expedition Bilberry Winter Dog Coat, 12-inch Review

This parka is the BEST jacket I have ever found for my Vizsla. The quality is first class, the material is durable. It is windproof, waterproof and insulated. This coat kept him warm in sub-zero temperatures in upstate New York. It's also tough enough to withstand its forest romp!

This will keep my dog warm from 50 degrees (no overheating) to around 30 degrees but I have not tried anything colder than the 30 degree threshold. Great quality if your dog loves running through the bushes chasing squirrels where other jackets won't. Just enough not to interfere with movement, keeping him comfortable while warming most of his body. Highly recommended.

I loved how it worked more like a tourniquet than a sweater, saving me the hassle of having to poke my feet through tiny holes and wanting to sit still. I agree with other reviews, I ordered 2 inches shorter than measured and it is absolutely perfect. I like beet color. It is very well made and keeps my dog warm. I also like the extra fabric that covers the entire neck.

Very good outdoor clothes for my dog. I'm always impressed by the quality of clothes from small businesses in the EU. Wrap our little dog to put on a fleece bandage first. Holds her body heat better than other coats we've tried (and we've tried many). Only wish for this coat would be a longer neck (actually a softer extension for the neck area that could be rolled inwards when not in use). I use a baby scarf to extend the neck area to keep my neck and ears warm in extreme cold. The design and quality of this parka is amazing. Although it's a bit pricey, you'll get your money's worth. 1 star deducted due to sizing issues. After 2 returns, the 3rd time was a charm. But dogs love it very much and it is easy to put on and take off. This is a really great coat for a short haired dog. He is strong and clearly of very high quality - he has survived several rough puppy games without damage. My thin single coat coon greyhound mix has yet to show being cold wearing them in their teenage Fahrenheit. I really appreciate the opening of the straps and the coverage of the abdomen.
