Hush Puppies unisex child Gavin Dress Shoe, Black, Size 5 Big Kid US Review

Weirdly, I like that name, Gavin Dress Shoe, because it's my husband's name. My grandson has big feet. He's 7 1/2 and wears 4 widths or 4 1/2 widths depending on how the sneaker is made. This is his first pair of shoes because he only likes sneakers. Still, he complained because when you put the shoes on, you feel the sides and top. I stretched them professionally to soften them up a bit. Now he is happy. His mom is happy too and says Hush Puppies is a good brand.

The shoes are of good quality but they run much smaller so I have to send them back. I bought a pair of laces from the same brand, they are my son's normal size (size 3M) and this pair fits perfectly. So I ordered this model in a larger size (3.5). However, my son said that this pair is too small and tight and his toes are very uncomfortable. I like the brand, very comfortable but I struggle with the size. bring it back

I love these shoes. My boys are very picky about dress shoes and they have every right to be as they wear them to school EVERY day. Anyway, they've been carrying hushpuppies since kindergarten and are now in 3rd and 5th grade. These shoes are enough to be worn every day throughout the school year, and sometimes even enough to be worn again for a younger brother the next year. Plus for quality and comfort!

I've been buying them since 1st grade. After 4 years they are still our favorite school shoes. Worn throughout the school year, they always look good and never fray or wear out. The rubber outsole makes it easy to walk and play. Great shoes.

After 2 months these shoes are already falling apart. The seams on the toes don't hold up and the tongues are worn out. My child didn't wear as many shoes and didn't have bigger feet either.

These molded shoes don't hold their shape well. After wearing them for 2 months they broke. And, of course, outside of Amazon's returns window.

Love these shoes very much. Came back to get a no width size for my son who has a hard time wearing shoes. Although true to size. Ordered a size 5. Have been wearing them for a few weeks (twice a week so far) and he says they are comfortable.

We have been buying these shoes twice a year for our son for the past four years because they are beautiful, well made, durable and the most comfortable school shoes imaginable. We buy them and they are worth every penny spent.

I want them to fit my grandson because the plan was for him to wear them to his first communion. Unfortunately they didn't feel wide at all and we had to send them back. To me they seem tight with no "return". Nice craftsmanship though.

Definitely true to size. Also, my son has flat feet and while he was working on her feet with a physical therapist, she recommended these elegant shoes to me. This helps him walk comfortably.

Very nice to come from a very picky boy! We also have problems with wide feet and they are perfect. Material may not hold up well in rainy or wet conditions! Excellent quality.

The shoes look good but are very narrow in the front, I bought them as a 4.5w and my son still complained that it felt "tight". I don't recommend them because of the model, if they were roomy they would be the perfect pair of shoes.

The shoes are not wide, they are too narrow. I have other shoes of the same size and width that fit much better. I will never buy these shoes again. IS NOT TRUE TO SIZE.

My son loves these shoes. Says they are very comfortable. He has wide feet and they fit perfectly. Would definitely buy again.

My son wore his last pair for two years! (Forget his legs haven't grown) Every day at school, including time on the playground. Except for slight signs of wear on the treads, they still look like new! No tears, discoloration or even wear on the exposed edges of the leather. I will buy them forever.
