Very thin quilt. This is not a winter variety, not even close to what we've had for years, it's really high quality. We were hoping to replace it, because it has been used for a long time but it's not what we expected.

The upper is a little stiffer than usual, smooth silk and although I don't know what the padding is used for; I can say that it is INCREDIBLY soft and a lot of fun to play with and rub the duvet between your hands on those cold winter days in bed. I doubt that this is pure mulberry silk. It still has an unnatural chemical odor, like stinky. Packing in garbage bag, not in storage bag. Looks beautiful and sophisticated. However, all the labels are in Chinese and the care instructions state that it should not be washed in water, dry cleaned, bleached or ironed.
