Great for taking specific gravity readings. Use with beer or wine. 10" tall. Plastic construction. Does not work with alcohol/proof and trilled hydrometer

Came cracked. Low quality.

My review keeps getting reported and deleted. Ah. Censorship? Either way, I'll keep it simple. Maybe this time it will pass. That's all. This item arrived broken like many previous reviewers. I am not satisfied with the quality of this product. There. That's all.

Good size hydrometer jar

Bought to replace broken glass. Looks solid, doesn't leak and is definitely more shatterproof than my old one (although I liked the consistent clarity of vision of the glass item - I expect this plastic version to scratch over time). Good size for small samples and use with full size hydrometers.

Pros
  • Like all before
Cons

Handle with care! in Test, Measure & Inspect

I like this product as it is thicker and not as tall as previous test glasses I have had. In addition, it features graduated volume lines. Facilitates reading and gripping the hydrometer. The downside is the brittle hard plastic it's made of. I dropped it before I could use it, rendering it almost unusable. However, I edited the base with MacGyver to make it better than before!

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Some bugs

will work i guess

Received my test glass today and straight out of the box, not impressed at all. The glass is all scratched, dirty and has a paper bar code sticker on the side which of course won't come off without a lot of cleaning and I'm not sure it will even hold up. I assume it will hold liquid but haven't tested that yet. Very disappointed with the quality.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not trendy

It's plastic. I recommend you stick with glass.

I tried them on my hydrometer. I didn't want to use plastic out of concern for cleanliness, but I kept breaking the fragile glass bottles. However, the plastic became cloudy and unusable the first time or two. So bad that I can't use it to read. Useless to me. I'm going back to glass and need to either find expensive and good quality glass or keep buying cheap but at least I'll be able to use it.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Protection
