Mechanical problems are best seen in CB and talkback radios

Electrically very good but socket head screws were so over tightened that they scuffed. The thread for one of the bottom holes of the cooler did not allow it to be fully screwed in. There doesn't seem to be any quality control on these antennas. Wouldn't buy again.

Great antenna for GMRS base station

I am using this antenna with a Midlland MXT400 GMRS radio. Connection cable 25' KMR400 (similar to LMR400). I used a Mcbazel Surecom SW-102 Power/SWR meter. My MXT400 is powered by a 13V 12A switching power supply. There are markings on the top of the antenna that show your transmit/receive frequency. That's pretty close compared to the SWR readings.
