Good antenna for the price.

Ordered a couple of these for pilot cars with VHF radios, used a Kenwood TM-281a and these antennas worked very well and had good range.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Crumpled

Inaccurate description

Advertised as 144MHz and 440MHz antenna. When hooked up to an antenna analyzer, it shows that it's tuned to 134MHz. This resulted in very poor transmission quality. Almost unreadable at 500 yards (aka junk)

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Very very happy with the antenna

Can't say enough good things about this antenna. This is the third one I've tried and this one is head and shoulders above the others. I use it on my Baofeng uv-5r ham radio truck. The reception is 10 times better than the other two. I'm amazed how well this works. I don't have a ham radio license yet so I don't use it now so I don't know how well it works for transmission. I love it!

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • repair

Also, I should note (because we have to now days) that I'm not suggesting that it matters on GMRS, it's just…
