Worked well while it lasted. The clip broke in half after a few months of brief use. Another problem was that the pin holding both sides of the clip together kept slipping out of the hole. I had to reinstall it over and over again.

nice and simple, works well on my bike (using http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-1300-Replacement-Stem-Mount/dp/ B00HNFRI6Y FJR) to hold my Sony Z1 (5 inch screen). The ball mount isn't as tight as I'd like it to be, so I might try adding some tape as a spacer. But the clasp on the phone itself seems pretty tight. My phone doesn't move at all.

Works great with Garmin Portable Friction Mount, holds phone in landscape or portrait orientation. Only used it for a few weeks but so far so good. When I saw this I was looking for something other than an air vent, CD or plug holder and compatible with my GPS holder, perfect for my 2015 Ford Fusion.

I had the goods less than a week. I loved using it and it was great to be able to see everything on the dashboard again using the same stand I had when driving my Carmen! Unfortunately it broke on the 6th day. My recommendation: Always use 2 hands to support the entire item. The spring is strong and will hold your phone securely, but it will snap at your fingers/objects in its claws or worse, break if you open it without support or if it slams when not fully open.

I was skeptical about what was essentially a giant hair clip but figured heck it's only ten bucks. Well, it pairs perfectly with the Garmin friction mount. Not sure how well the clip will hold up over time but worth the purchase. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the up and down angle is a bit more restricted than I would like due to the huge clip on the back hitting the neck of the mount. It's not bad, but I have to play with it a bit in the car to get the best viewing angle. However,

Great solution to the cheap paddle holders that came with my jeep dash phone holder. The original broke after about a month of use so I replaced it with this type of clip. The only problem is that the socket is a bit big for the ball mount so I had to wrap tape around the ball to keep it in place. I've been using the product for about three months with no phone cuts or other issues. I have a large phone in an otter box that is about 3.5 inches wide and the clip fits in easily.

A good system that allows you to use the iPhone 6 in both horizontal and vertical positions. Inserting and removing the phone is also relatively easy. The only problem is when you change orientation the screw on the ball is the weak point. It has to be pretty tight not to move, and once it gets that tight accidentally twisting the tight joint for a tighter fit breaks the whole thing. And yes, I know it's tight on the right and loose on the left, but it's not that easy when you're trying to…
