This was my second iBolt that I bought for my new, larger phone. The old iBolt lasted at least 2 years so I was optimistic. Unfortunately the new one didn't last as long. The base cracked after about a month. This happened while the car was parked, so I don't think it's related to the heavier phone. It happened on a warm day so I think it might have something to do with the heat exposure on the suction cup? My old iBolt was a more sophisticated model with a built in power cord holder.

You can hold it on this mount (I use a portrait mode dash mount) but it's very tight and the back of the phone can't fit all the way to the front of the mount, but it's secure enough not to pop out of the mounts for everything me okay - it's not one-handed operation.
