Perfect for my RX 580 8GB memory modules!

This is the ideal number of thermal pads for the XFX RX 580 8GB and the ideal thickness is 1mm. It is enough to have about 2 additional GDDR5 modules. So if you have a 10GB card that uses 512MB modules it will be EXACTLY. the right amount. So for the 8GB RX 580 I used 80% thermal pads and 20% in case of failure. Solid first impression.

Like other Reddit members, I was initially skeptical about this company. Since I couldn't find an alternative, I chose this one. Here is my experience: Immediately after replacing the regular Vram pads with them, the temperature dropped from 110°C to 86°C during mining. Replaced and running with significant temperature variation

My 3080 Gaming OC 10G got very hot under load with stock thermal pads. -> 110 degrees Celsius. Thermal pads will leach oily residue onto the memory chips as well as onto the power supply chips. It will eventually automatically clock down to a very low frequency, somewhere around 600-800MHz. You can open the card and just drain the liquid, but the problem can reoccur within a few weeks with standard pods as more liquid comes out of the pods.
