Just what the doctor ordered when you have multiple hard drives used for backing up or archiving old data. I have an external drive enclosure that I use to store old files and photos on "free" hard drives. These sleeves are great for storing those discs for future reference.

I edit a lot of videos which means I use a lot of discs. I wasn't quite sure what kind of cases I wanted for them and I stumbled upon them and couldn't be happier. The sleeves have a secure system that keeps them open or closed, there is foam inside the sleeve to prevent the disc from slipping and there is space for your markers or printed labels to be affixed. Reliable protection for storing 3.5 inch hard drives. Better than ready for storage in antistatic bags, boxes, foam inserts, etc. I printed the labels instead of writing on the labels attached to the boxes. A good product. If you're like me and somehow manage to always have extra discs on hand, go get them. If you like things neat and tidy, you can be sure that your drives that worked when you put them away will work when you need them again.

Fantastic basic ESD protection and physical protection for 3.5" bare drives. It has rejuvenated my backup solutions. I've used external hard drives in the past (DIY = enclosure + bare drive) each requiring USB + power. I bought an IDsonix USB drive cage and started using bare drives for easier connection. I bought two packages at once and in one of them the seal on all 5 had come off. A small soft pad is glued to the top of the cover to keep the hard drives from rattling. And I quickly broke off the cover and tried to attach it to one of them. The hinge is just plastic. What is not shown in the picture. It has to be something with a real screw and connection. Because we all know that if you keep flexing it, it will wear out and break.

Excellent! Exactly what I expected. They are of excellent quality and perfect for storing your hard drives. They are resistant to static electricity and help keep moisture in the room. I find that the rubber bumper material on the inside helps absorb the shock as they fall and hit the ground. Several NAS devices failed (no names, no names) so I had to backup/restore my disks. I ended up buying a diskless NAS system (2 bays) and needed a solid and reliable hard drive storage solution. I'm a bit obsessed with computer backups and use them in cases to keep the hard drives organized that I use for their intended purpose and keep protected. You do an excellent job. FYI: It's much cheaper to buy regular 3.5" drives and use a USB 3.0 docking station than to buy ones that are already in an AC enclosure like WD My Book drives. With the docking station I can create regular image backups or if I want to clone the drive to install on the computer itself to replace a failed drive.

The rainbow of colors that comes in the box can be a pretty useful metric if you're running a system where you're constantly changing the drive you're backing up to. I've heard that some people do this to reduce wear and tear on a hard drive and increase the likelihood that at least one of them will have the file they need without rotting. After seeing other products that perform the same function, I think they are BETTER for the following reasons: First, they are made of polypropylene plastic. Most likely injection molded. (This means they can be mass-produced indefinitely for practically pennies.) Heavy. Strong. Considering their cost, they are VERY CHEAP and your BEST BUY.
