Inexpensive way to protect Ethernet ports

My network cabinets are very dusty due to doors with ventilation slots on the outside, which means that the switches in the cabinets are covered with layers of dust. I bought these dust caps to extend the life of the switches. They are made of flexible rubber and are easy to install. I have found that the best way to remove them is to use a pair of small needle nose pliers to grab a small ledge or corner and pull. Overall I am very satisfied and will buy more when they run out.

Pros
  • Simple design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Big. For real. - Speaker repair

Pretty securely connects to ethernet ports. Fits perfectly. Won't fall out. Protects tower switches from cable splinters and other debris that can get caught in Ethernet ports. I will be buying more for our vertical switch setup. Anyone complaining about difficult disassembly must be inexperienced with port covers. They want them to stay safe. And it's not difficult to remove them. Lift your lip and they pop out like they should. But they also stay indoors, as they should.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Difficult to remove for speaker repair

Bought these to prevent moisture/corrosion issues on my network rack in the basement but even with the little black protrusions they are very difficult to remove once installed. I had to use a knife to pull out the first one I installed! So I may or may not use them. They look good, and while they still work for my purpose, I'm afraid to take them off when routing cables between ports or running new wiring. I would like them to be made out of harder rubber as that would help remove them.

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Expensive
