Much cheaper than what my filter is asking for

This is much cheaper than what my filter is asking for. The only difference is that you have to run water through it for a while so it doesn't taste like charcoal, but if you do that enough, it tastes great!

Pros
  • 0.5 micron carbon block filter
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Do not buy. Chemical taste and burning in throat.

I decided to save some money to replace the Multipure filter - big mistake! We're sorry! Water has a terrible chemical taste after passing through this filter! And a burning in the throat! Not safe to consume! Why is it being sold to someone?

Pros
  • 100% compatible with systems with CB6 filter
Cons
  • Not sure

Good filter priced at

I replaced an old multi-purpose filter a few days ago and this fits perfectly. Had to run water for 30 minutes and everything seemed fine. I noticed in the morning that you have to let it run for a few more minutes because it's cloudy. Not sure if this should happen. There is no burning or unpleasant taste yet, I hope that will not happen. If the milky cloudy water persists, I'll have to buy a real filter. I will update in a few weeks.

Pros
  • 750 gallons. Capacity
Cons
  • Not the best

horribly bad taste for about 30 minutes

Unlike more expensive filters, you really need to RINSE WATER SLOWLY to make this filter tasteless. After all, water tastes good, but for those who live in a place trying to save water, you'd better have a big bucket on hand to collect it within 30 minutes! Also: I have to wonder if the water tastes so bad for so long - unlike other filters I've bought - how good is the filtration?

Pros
  • Made from certified approved material
Cons
  • May be harmful
