Igloo Plastic Hinges - Universal Fit Review

Replaced it on my boat with a radiator seat and did exactly what it was supposed to do: my old ones broke after 12 years which is understandable. It took 2 seconds to easily install and fix my fridge seat! Definitely 5 stars

I am not sure about the authenticity of this product. According to the product description, these hinges are made in the USA and are genuine Igroo parts. But my hinges came in a white plastic bag with no instructions or product information other than the product name and barcode. I gave 3 stars because I really can't tell if this product is legit and will last a while.

Given the short lifespan of these plastic hinges, maybe Igoo could come up with a better design. We need to have a fridge in the car to deliver groceries home (it's very hot in the south y'all) so our cooler is used every week. These are the same ones that have been working on this for the past 8 years and have worked well. These are not Yeti or Coleman hinges that last forever. They are made of plastic and will fail sooner or later. For the price they could be better.

One of the hinges on our white igloo fridge broke after many years of use. The cooler is the best we have and it's still in great condition after 10+ years so we didn't want to get rid of it. For less than $8 we were able to restore it and keep it. I hope this hinge will allow us to use our cooler for another 10+ years. It was very easy to replace the broken one and install this one.
