Description of π Enhance Your Ride with iJDMTOY (4) Hexagon-Shape Black Aluminum Tire Valve Caps
One complete set of 4 pieces. Color: black anodized aluminum. Replace the dull stock valve caps and enhance the look of your vehicle. Universal Application for Most Vehicles/Cars/Trucks/Pickups. Hexagon shape with 0.65" in length.
As you can see in the picture the color has failed. Put them on 90 days ago and 2 on the passenger side are no longer black. Had to be replaced as not worth the money.
Used on some aftermarket brake discs. beautiful and stylish! I used anti-seize in them to prevent them from sticking like other reviews have said. It's been a little over a month and they're working fine.
Good product. Very important. The only downside is that it is too short and cannot be screwed into the base of the valve. Still see copper color or valve after screwing it all the way in. My factory chrome caps screw into the valve stem rubber.
My dealer supplied valve caps that kept falling off and every time I pumped up the tires at least one was missing. I've been using them for a few weeks now and they're holding up great!
They looked great on my Jeep until I had a puncture and found the hubcaps were rusted making them impossible to remove. The cap had to be cut off and the tire pressure sensor replaced. One tire cost me $155, eventually have to do the same with other tires. Buy plastic caps now!
They look great but if I have to remove them now the metal cap is sticking to the valve so I have to break it off which could damage the car tire sensors. A potentially $400 repair is why you put plastic caps on the steps of the tires. Thus, the metal will not be welded in cold weather. Save yourself some money and hassle. Do not buy metal caps for tires.
These are very nice looking dust/mud valve covers. I've read that many reviewers have stated that they corrode and don't come off easily. The solution is to put some anti-seize compound on the valve threads. I recommend Permatex's anti-seize products, available here on Amazon for less than $3. A lubricant should be used with all aluminum valve covers. I am not receiving any compensation for my review. Much luck!
