Soft plastic top cover with nice map detail. The bottom cover is made of the same material, just a solid dark color. The top cap fits snug and snug once on. I had problems with the bottom. It appears when I hold my MacBook with one hand. I ended up just using the top cover. The keyboard cover is nice, but makes the backlit keyboard dimmer even on the brightest settings.

I bought this case to show off the decals on my laptop while still protecting it. The case was transparent enough to see my sticker underneath. The corners of the case broke a week after installing the case on the laptop. I didn't drop my laptop, I went from desk to bed like a normal student during the pandemic. I think if you get this case it's not for those who abuse their computer.

Great beautiful case! I've only put it on so I can't comment on durability. However, it feels just as durable as my previous Amazon Macbook cases. The case is translucent except for the stars. I like the design but the quality is TERRIBLE! I installed the case and within moments this ugly smudge of my fingerprints appeared. How are you supposed to use a suitcase if you can't hold it without gloves! Another user reported the same problem!. I don't normally send it back but literally 10 minutes out of the box and it's already looking like I need a new case!
