Great size for on the go.

I love this little fan. I booked it for a trip because I've never been cool enough in a hotel room. My husband said I was crazy about packing it in my carry-on when we flew to Hawaii 2 weeks ago. Well it was a life saver and made our trip so much better. Our hotel on Waikiki Beach stayed quite warm and we would have slept terribly if I hadn't had that fan. I was planning on only using it when traveling but now it sits on my bedside table and blows on me at night. I highly recommended this item.

Small, quiet, efficient

This is exactly what I was looking for: light, small, decent appearance, can be used on a window. (The instructions say not to put it in a window, but I think that's more for legal reasons than practical.) The fan sits securely on the windowsill, blows a cool breeze even on the lowest settings, and is easy to lift. to switch on and off. The only thing I would hope for would be a carrying handle or some kind of notch, but actually it's ok. I've only recently used it, so I can't comment on…

Decent fan: Household fans

Fairly quiet (which is to be expected from a fan). Each of the two legs is 4 3/4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide, making the leg longer than the width of most window sills so it won't be left alone on your window sill. It's better suited to a desk or table if you can't mount it to the window. The legs have rubber feet on the bottom and can be easily removed. The dial is odd - OFF is top and bottom center and there are 3 speeds (1,2,3) on each side of the dial, but this fan cannot change…

Complicated instructions for a simple device

This is a replacement for my old case fan that lasted fifteen years, plugged in spring thru fall, worked on demand. I mention this because the instructions for this fan instruct you to turn it off when not in use. Not what I expected. The noise level is satisfactory as I keep it four feet from my bed. Are the electronics certified to Canadian standards? It is made in China with an address in California. The connector has a fuse that will shut off the fan if it blows. According to the manual…

Not UL Recognized and step #5 of operation is the kill shot

This fan had a 360 degree on/off rotary knob and 3 speeds. 1-3 left of center and 1-3 right of center. I wanted to see if one blows air in and the other blows out. While reading the "manual" I found the instruction manual. It's just a matter of turning it on and choosing low or high settings. No word on the direction of the current. But the last instruction was that you must turn off the device when not in use. It's just a mess. This raises the question of why the first operational task was not
