I was expecting the old fabric to smell vintage but it was really bad. Super musty smell. I had to wash them twice in oxygen scented detergent and with dryer sheets hoping the smell would linger. I love this patchwork quilt. Its design breaks all the rules of quilting and sewing. I LOVE kantha quilts and already have 3 of these along with kantha floor pillows. They are light, colorful and exotic. This seller's blankets are cut much better than some in this price range. They are very good at building and I appreciate that! The ends are nicely finished with zig-zag stitching and the sides appear to be sewn in tight, so you can probably machine wash them with ease.
