You are beautiful. They are exactly what I expected in general. Some I like more than others, and that's to be expected. Some of them are not patchwork at all, but almost two solid pieces of fabric sewn together. Some colors are very muted, others are bright. I noticed that others said their words were more muted than the example, but mine weren't. Stacked and stacked I'd say mine looks a lot like the example. I even got one with a full plaid lining, and plaid is not the pattern I was expecting. But overall I love her. There are downsides, so keep that in mind when purchasing. I have a spot on the skin where there is a gap in the mount that is quite noticeable. It's not a problem for *me* at all, but I'll probably do something to hide it. This is not a disadvantage *I* would leave it as is and use it. But I sew. Also, I think that out of my entire batch, only one, maybe two, is fully finished. The rest of the two ends are left with loose seams and will need to be tied or bar-tacked. As for other reviews, that's what I expected and I didn't mind, especially for the price. The long ends are all closed, it's just the short sides, so the face and leg area rests on the bed. There was absolutely no smell from them. NOBODY. I'm the type of guy who always washes everything, new or used, before doing anything with it, but actually I haven't hesitated to let my two-year-old daughter roll into one. They look clean. They have a smell, that is, but it's a smell, not a smell, and not touching, actually pleasant. That's MUCH more than I can say about other textiles I've bought from Revain, which often smell like they've been heavily processed or have suffered a plastic fire. I often air them on my porch and then put them straight into the wash. It's NOT like that. It was beautiful and very weak. All 10 of mine were almost the same size +/- inch or so and exactly the size listed. I don't have single beds but it seems they could be used as a single duvet. They will likely be a bit short based on typical US bed sizes according to the charts I use when quilting, but they still fit and would look great as a topper. I bought mine to make a reversible comforter for my bed and matching pillowcases so this is perfection for me. I intend to cover my raw pieces with saree trimmings and I think it would be great to have so much fine material to work with and I love the look of hand stitching on it. I am already considering ordering another set for Christmas gifts. My kids are just learning how to sew and knit these quilts which allows them to easily practice and make some of their gifts to aunts and uncles. They are easy. So they are for summer, warmer climates, etc. OR you should plan to sew with them. We live in the north so this is too light a blanket for us for normal use. It distracts from the fine craftsmanship, vintage fabrics, or other creative uses of such beautiful pieces. I would recommend her to a friend without hesitation. I also have to mention even though this is not a seller rating but a product they arrived SO FAST. I ordered their standard delivery on September 28th (Wednesday) and received them the following Monday October 3rd. It's as fast as most packages I ship across the States and even faster from India to the US. They were shipped the same day I ordered them and arrived much quicker than I had hoped. I have other small items that I ordered a few weeks ago but they still haven't arrived from the same distances. I also acknowledge that SOME of these are out of the seller's control as customs can delay transit and sometimes couriers as well. I just couldn't be happier with this order.
