Took three months

Installed in a MacBook Pro in late December. This morning I made sure the drive is dead. The laptop wasn't taken out of the house, it wasn't dropped. The cost of the disc is $1.64 per day. I do not recommend buying from INDMEM.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • No instructions

512GB NVMe PCIe SSD 3D TLC NAND Flash Hard Drive

I have one from a 2014 MacBook Air and love it. I needed more disk space. Ordered, installed and ready to use in a few days. I didn't need an adapter. I managed to upgrade to Big Sur and it works great. I can also upgrade the RAM to 8GB. Although I may have to ask someone to. Otherwise it's worth buying.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Very good SSD upgrade for Macbook Air.

This new solid state drive works great. My MacBook Air 11 inch is mid 2013 and has always gotten very hot. After the update, all applications run significantly faster and the bottom of the case hardly ever heats up. If you're as fearless as I am when it comes to opening up your MacBook, and you are. If you have the right tools, replacing a drive takes no more than 10 minutes from start to finish. But that's where the fun ends. The instructions for backing up and restoring from the original hard

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Pros
  • You need to format and install macOS 10.13 High Sierra or later on a DMPG3N-NVMe SSD.
Cons
  • Expensive

Wow. After countless hours it worked great. I have a mid 2013 Mac Air with original battery and 128g SSD. MacOS was Catalina 10.15.7 and I had a time machine backup. There shouldn't be any problems. Right? Well, both Internet Recovery and Cmd R or Time Machine boot options kept bringing up the old version of Disk Utility (there was no "Show" button) and the new SSD didn't show up. I knew it was working because the light came on. After both of those methods didn't work, I decided to go with the…

Pros
  • 2.0TB PCIe NVMe Gen3*4 high-speed drives: 2100MB/s read, 1800MB/s write. TRIM, NCQ and SMART support, MTBF: 1 million hours.
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Works great (although Apple makes it difficult)

I installed one of these last night in an early 2015 MacBook Air. The tricky part is the initial formatting of the hard drive so the operating system can be installed. There are two ways to do this after replacing the hard drive: 1) This is the "network" method, which loads the utility used to perform the initial setup. Disk Utility failed to recognize the drive twice. Method 2 is to download the entire operating system (6+ GB for Mojave) and create a bootable USB drive. When I used this…

Pros
  • You must upgrade your original SSD to macOS 10.13 or later before moving out. The new SSD is not recognized after the replacement if the original SSD is running Mac OS version 10.12 or earlier.
Cons
  • threadbare
