I didn't follow the installation instructions because they didn't make sense and it wouldn't work if I tried to follow them. It seems they said to put the cover on and then connect the wires, which doesn't make any sense. I threaded the wire through the links the way lanterns are arranged with chains. But that made it difficult to align because the links on one side weren't as taught, so instead of messing around with the wired side I removed a link on the other side and it was level after…

The lamp itself is very nice and well made. But it fails to install as mentioned in other reviews. I have attached a few photos to show that the weld is very poor for connecting two metal objects, but the worst thing is, as you can see, the horizontal metal bar does not match the two screws that are included in the box are. it's not exactly like that with the wall. So first of all it's made in China and I wish my wife hadn't bought it but since she bought it and didn't want to send it back, have we installed it in our dining room. There is no description of where to connect the ground wire on the light fixture and any logical place will not reach the box. We simply grounded the house wiring to the bracket. I wouldn't say the installation is as easy as the description says. It took my husband about 30-45 minutes to install. Looks great right away. That's where it ends. Good price, but installation not possible. The screws that attach the rectangular base to the ceiling are too long. Only one nut per side is supplied. When you put everything together, the decorative nut falls down and the threads become visible. Of course. I could put in a stack of shims to fill the gap, but the instructions should say so. Another option was to buy shorter screws. or use more nuts as jam. or shorten existing screws. But the manual…
