They are blue. You are 5v. They are bright enough for my purposes. I need to remove the weather protection, but it's very easy.

This product doesn't work very well but looks good when it's on. But after a few minutes of turning it on, the light turns red and starts dimming until it turns off. Not the best product.

I made a lamp post out of it for my recumbent tricycle. The solder joint between the battery pack and the strip is very fragile. I broke it pretty quickly but I was able to re-solder it and protect it with clear heat shrink tubing. It's really bright and works well for my application.

Ordered a total of 6 pieces and only 2 fit. The other 4 had the remote on backwards and the lights didn't work unless you left them on backwards. I then ordered 4 replacements and all 4 had the same problem as the first ones I received. I sent them back too. Now I have 2 that worked and the other 4 I gave up.

Like the other reviews they were dead on arrival so why did I buy them. The project I'm working on doesn't require LEDs on waterproof tape. I cut them off and solder the wires directly to the LED terminals. The LEDs work fine (with the necessary resistors), only the current paths (connectors) on the bar are defective.

I bought it a few months ago to hang behind the TV. I never did this so I just kept it. I took it out recently and as soon as I taped it to my wall the connection from the batteries to the strip just fell off. Terrible idea leaving him so weak. I mean I didn't even pull or tug on it. He literally withdrew. The manufacturer could use more glue or make it more reliable.
