Trusted product in the Power & Hand Tools section

This is a fairly basic pneumatic hammer The HF or CH model costs around $10 . I've used it to hollow out floor tiles and shower tiles. It can also be used to break rivets and old screws. IR makes decent air tools, never let me down. It would be nice if it was made in the US.

Pros
  • Product packaging dimensions: 24cm L x 6.7cm W x 2.5cm H
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Ingersoll Rand 116 Standard Duty Air Hammer

I'm no sheet metal mechanic, I use it primarily to power my auger extractor (woodpecker old man, whatever you want to call it). I used it once and found the trigger to be very sensitive and difficult to modulate - maybe it's just me as I don't usually use it often or the tool needs to be carried. All in all it does what I wanted and it was a good price at the time.

Pros
  • Handles a range of cutting tasks
Cons
  • Not sure

Used professionally from case to case.

I've been using this hammer for about three months now. I don't use it every day, but enough that it wears me out. It works exceptionally well. From ball joints to rusty fasteners, I've found few things this hammer won't break. My biggest complaints are that the spool seems to spin very easily and when using a hammer the spool slips off the bit after a few seconds of use. But for the price I haven't found a better and more reliable air hammer.

Pros
  • Up to 3500 bpm
Cons
  • Slightly torn
