110v is a great mod, 12v is not good.

Required for 12v. Driver supplies 12v. The transformer saying the output is 3-12v has been removed. The 12V driver blinks three times. On the other hand, they work great at 110V with a small transformer.

Looks really cool.

The only complaint is that they don't have a mini junction box to tie the Romax cable into the house. You must purchase a set of single block junction boxes to legally connect them. Other than that, they work great, they're bright, and they look like little stars in your closet. Very cool.

some creativity is required for a safe installation that complies with electrical regulation

I installed them into the wall of a cabinet I built as part of a bathroom renovation. I used an electrical box that mounts flush with the back of the drywall to house the transformer and simply cut out a circle with a light hole saw to fit the light in the box.
