Didn't work in my car but great customer service!

My machine did not accept these cartridges, I had to buy Brother cartridges. Now I'm stuck with all these cartridges, luckily they weren't very expensive. I started with these first because they didn't work in my printer. They have since contacted me and offered to refund my money and replace the cartridges. Now I have to give them 5 stars for their outstanding customer service!

So far so good - office electronics

So I persuaded my boss to buy the Brother J5830DW, also because the ink cartridges should last forever. Yes. Not as much. We print less than a dozen pages a day, maybe 15% of them in color, and genuine cartridges are empty much faster than expected. Replacement parts are terribly expensive, so we gave them a try. Part of the OEM cost as long as they work just as well! Seems the same too.

They are as good as Brother

. Well, when you first use them, it seems so. I didn't find them to last as long as Brother. They don't empty completely. The printer said blank. I took it out. Put it in our ammo box. After a while, as we approached the box, we found that the ink had spilled all over the box. I'm so glad it wasn't sitting on something that could go bad. otherwise it would be damaged. I won't be buying these again either. They don't last that long and you never know if they're really empty or not. If the…

Pros
  • . Not just useful for it's intended purpose.
Cons
  • . Somewhat easy to care for.

BIG savings with no risk

I was a bit concerned about buying another manufacturer's ink cartridge as I've had terrible luck with HP printer compatibility. However, the product arrived as promised and was previously indistinguishable from the original Brother product. The printer tells you it's not a Brother product when you check the ink levels, but unlike HP, it still tells you the ink levels. Having only replaced 2 cartridges out of 4 so far I can't give a long term rating but at this point it's a HUGE savings over…

Pros
  • There's something in it
Cons
  • Minor issues

My printer is broken (Brother MFC-J5930DW)

I only installed yellow ink from the 4 color kit and it broke the print head in my printer. It looks like they didn't mix well with the OEM ink and the system is clogged. And yes, I removed the vent tab from the cartridge as instructed. When I installed the ink cartridge, a pop-up ad from Brother appeared on the screen stating that non-OEM inks would void the warranty. Also, the Ink Level Gauge in the Brother software or on screen cannot show third party ink levels. From now on you have to…
