Great light for a beginner photographer

I bought this set for my daughter. She started out with photography so we didn't want to spend a lot of money on gear until we knew it would become a serious hobby in the long run. The light is excellent. They do exactly what they say. We took her outside in the pitch black night and our backyard was flooded with light. The only criticism is that one came broken. That's the only reason we didn't give 5 stars. Photos have a broken frame.

Great even light for my photography

I don't shoot in the studio often due to COVID but I definitely had to update my old light which was too harsh. (the only ones I make indoors). Good soft adjustable backlight for kids. Very quick to set up and take down. No fuss, no gimmicks, just a solid set at this price point. Another plus is that it doesn't heat up the studio as much. My other light emitted so much heat that after 30 minutes it became unbearable. There are no problems with this.

Good for portrait photography

I had previously bought an 18" Inkeltech ring light and liked it so much I decided to take a chance and get this Inkeltech softbox steady light kit for portrait photography I've only taken headshots which the softbox size seems reasonable for. Not sure if they cover full body shots but haven't tried it yet as I have a small studio. I've added some photos to accommodate You can see a close-up of one of the softboxes. The umbrella has a nice thick texture and feels durable.are completely loose…

The Perfect Lighting Studio

I use this to record YouTube videos. I like the adjustable color temperature and 5%100% adjustable LED brightness with the remote control. I can set up and control the lighting before shooting. The softbox and light stand, along with the camera stand, provided the best image quality. The tripod has a phone mount so I can use my phone to record videos as well. I have everything you need to show and take photos and videos. I also liked that it comes with a travel case so I can take it with me…

The bulbs are sensitive to nearby radio frequencies

I wanted to like this softbox kit but there is a big flaw with the bulbs. They are sensitive to nearby radio frequencies. Everything will be working fine until my honeywell thermostat kicks in to turn on my air conditioner. Both headlights went out. I've tried different outlets and it was the same issue as I could hear my thermostat making a "click" sound as the relay tripped and the lights turned off. The whole point of this softbox kit is that I can control the light from the remote control…

Great starting light! Amazing value! Very happy!

My friend and I decided to start our own photography side business. What we wanted to do for years was have something durable and affordable for our startup as it would travel a lot and come with a lot of wear and tear. There is nothing like it other than a couple of ring shaped lamps, this lamp is a dream come true! Absolutely perfect for a portrait studio. We were both amazed at how subtle low light can be, which is very useful for photographing babies, which could otherwise be a disaster…

Helped this newbie achieve amazing professional results!

I love these lights! I have never used special lighting and am a beginner photographer. I wanted to do a photoshoot for my daughter and given the heat I figured it would help to shoot indoors and my goal was to simulate soft daylight. I took these photos on my camera at 11pm on warm settings and fairly low blackout with no flash and they were absolutely stunning and looked as professional as a magazine should be. I love these lights! I'm so glad I got hooked on being able to adjust the…

Excellent starter kit for amateur photography

I only need them for occasional use. Therefore they work well and are cheap. I was actually surprised by the light off function, there are many more options than described. You will have no problem finding the right setting. As for the quality of the product, it's not very good. It is not suitable for everyday assembly and disassembly. In this regard, it will only last about a month. The posts are made of thin metal and are not stable above 3 feet. Lamp holders are also pretty cheap and don't…

Ideal for any photo

I am an advanced photographer, I work mainly in portrait and macro photography. I already have the softbox lighting I use for my photos and it only has a fixed light balance (daylight only). Recently I've been working on taking photos of my stuff because I'm home due to COVID. This set is a great help for any photographer, whether a beginner or an experienced photographer like me. The softbox lighting is really cool as you can change the atmosphere of the light with a push of a button on the…
