These little handles are inexpensive and make small jigs easier to make. The body is tall and narrow if you need to sink it for some reason. Large radius knobs are better for loosening, but aren't really designed for applications where this might be an issue. More expensive pens have more solid construction, but these do a good job for the price.

These innovative AN4C-5S221 1.38" Star Knobs work great on my Thumlers brass cup as a replacement for their standard wing nut combo and a Washer that is sometimes present is unwieldy. I used these on a fine stop jig I made for a cheap router table (see photos). This is an improved version of the wing nuts I started with and are much better and more than suitable for this purpose.
