I once ran a wire shop where we made all kinds of wires and wire harnesses. I've used all sizes of cable ties. I've always bought the Panduit brand in the past, I think they're Cadillac cable ties, but they're more expensive. They work, but I can't use them on high-strength cables or outdoors when they really need to last.

These zips are great. 8" is the perfect length for me, and on the rare occasion I need more, they snap together easily. The black color is pleasing and understated. There are 100 in a pack, I always keep a handful in my car and my briefcase. saved me multiple times. I've used them for bike brake lines, computer cables at work, home theater cables, attaching bird feeders to railings and many other things. Huge thumbs up!
