Description of InstallGear Gauge Black Power Ground Accessories & Supplies

25-FEET (7.62m) [ BLACK 1/0 GAUGE POWER/GROUND WIRE ] - The lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. Thicker wire presents less resistance to current flow. COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM (CCA) - CCA wiring provides a good conductor for power transfer. This is the most economical option when choosing power or ground wire. Systems that require more power should consider OFC wiring. RUGGED PVC JACKET - Allows free, wide and seamless adjustment of the required physical properties of this wire such as flexibility, elasticity, and impact resistance. EASY POLARITY IDENTIFICATION - This two color jacket allows for easy polarity identification. Making a polarity mistake could be damaging to your audio equipment. SOFT TOUCH JACKET - The jacket on our cable is designed with the installer in mind. The flexibility of this jacket allows for easy routing and has a low memory.

after all. Original size 1/0 that won't break your wallet

I was a bit skeptical at first. 1/0ga at $1 per foot? Eh.. But I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. And I'm glad I did. True life size 1/0 ga. Soft elastic cover. Easily bends and goes where you need it. Cable lugs are simply crimped at the ends. If you're looking for inexpensive wiring that can still handle the current you want to pass through, you'll enjoy this material.

NEVER AGAIN! in Power and Ground Wires

Purchased wire made a huge installation in a friend's van. The van is always in the garage, never seen rain or snow. Halfway to Texas, the generator and battery exploded. .Replaced both, next day they blew up the generator and battery. I tore it apart, came and found that the wire (from the side of the earth) had literally turned to powder. $1500.00 in tubes. That. Just a crappy wire. LESSON LEARNED By the way, there were three wires that broke. Not only one

True 8 gauge cable!

I've found that some of the cheaper kits come with wires advertised as 8 gauge, but when you actually get them you'll find something like 14 gauge wire with a lot of heavier insulation. .This wire is 8 gauge thin copper wire with good insulation. It's easy to use, traces well, and seems to do the job. I installed an aftermarket subwoofer/woofer combo in my new car in addition to the existing factory radio which is pretty good on its own. The subwoofer adds a whole new dimension to the sound and

I routed the InstallGear cable in my car where it goes from the battery pack to the amp. After about 18 months the plastic insulation (casing, whatever) broke at various exposed spots in the engine compartment exposing the copper conductor. I have no idea why the case failed - I suspect the plastics just don't hold up well to the heat/time in the car's environment. The sheathing of the exposed cable in the trunk appears intact, and presumably the same goes for the patches hidden under the…

Exactly what I needed

Good deal I just want a little help with the size of the cable I really need this amplifier and I installed 4 gauge first and it seemed to me , that it was inconvenient to install and hide it. But the wires were always freezing, so I know they weren't stressed at all. I then researched further on the metric required for the number of watts used and found out by reading the work of two different engineers - real geeks who understand this and are not trying to boost sales or overprotect the…
