Don gloves for hot packing, frosting, and wrapping

About two minutes after installation, I noticed the material contained fiberglass. My hands were itchy for several days.

Pros
  • Thickness in inches: 1/16 inch THICKNESS
Cons
  • Transparency

Sheds a lot and loses color quickly

As everyone says, they shed a lot, so be sure to wear that coverall! Fiberglass sucks to get at you! Anyway, the color was there for maybe 25 miles. Overall it does what it's supposed to, but don't expect the color to hold up!

Pros
  • Temperature range: 2000Β° Fahrenheit
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Looks good, easy to fit - discolours when exhaust is hot

I needed thermal protection for an SBC Covette engine that had the exhaust running under the oil pan. it was perfect and looked great until the car ran for a while. still good, but the color is almost gone. Maybe next time you'll just go to Schwarzlack.

Pros
  • Material: fiberglass foil for extreme heat
Cons
  • Does not fit all

good color for replacement parts

great price and will keep their color quite well. I wrapped the headers twice in most areas as the price was right. I used metal bands with a special tool and they looked pretty cool. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more. She hasn't flowered and is still looking good after 6 months. Be sure to wear rubber gloves due to fiberglass. Trust me on that or get wet first

Pros
  • All exhaust wraps will withstand extreme thermal conditions without damage or cracking
Cons
  • will fade
