I purchased this item based on the seller's description that it worked as Brother LC3011 black ink for my Brother MFC-J497DW printer. However, all the cartridges I received were too wide to fit in the printer's ink slot. I threw away the box when the package arrived so I can't return it now. Otherwise, it will be sent back to the seller for a refund as soon as possible. Be careful before buying as the description of the goods from the seller is misleading.

My Brother printer lets me use these cartridges so they can tell it's not a genuine cartridge. The print quality is not a problem. Many Thanks.

Bought a Brother MFC-J497dw printer and these spare cartridges in case they run out. At one point I ran out of the original ink that came with my printer and tried to replace it with this one. I get question marks about the machine running out of ink which I've tried taking out and putting back in many times and still nothing. Even tried another and nothing. I'm not allowed to print everything now. Big waste of money!

It's really frustrating when you run a print job and these cartridges decide NOT to be recognized by your printer! The black cartridges didn't work at first so I placed another order just for the black ones and they worked (so far). Now the yellow one needs to be replaced and I have tried 4 different cartridges and none of them are recognized by the printer. I followed the seller's instructions not to update the firmware and it did absolutely nothing. So I'm sitting there with 4 yellow, 4 cyan…

Tried 2 black cartridges and both didn't work. I followed all the instructions above but they still didn't print. Unfortunately my return date has already passed so this is a huge waste of money and time. Update: After repeated cleaning of the heads, the printer works. However, the print quality is very poor. Again, don't waste your money on third-party cartridges.

I have previously used another brand that was great but is no longer available. Used this one and it's a joke. Poor quality and the printer does not respond well. I understand that I should only use original brother ink, but the other previous brand was not original brother ink and it was amazing. Avoid this brand.

The printer ran out almost a cartridge before printing errors and not registering with the printer. Tried other cartridges only to find none of them are now registered. Let's get back to the Brother OEM brand. By the way, I use my printer every day.

All 4 cartridges lasted about 1 week and only printed 20 pages. The printer indicates that the black ink cartridge is empty. I erased them all and they obviously have a lot of ink in them. I will try to contact the seller.
