Good processor for budget systems

I recently put together two budget systems for budget-conscious customers. I didn't want anything less than a dual core processor, but at the same time I got this processor smaller than the E5200 and it was great. Easy installation and great performance with the Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L Easy Energy Saver S Series Motherboard. It overclocks well and runs very cool. Recommended for a budget system!

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

This little guy is a paratrooper. and I've been told that when paired with a decent ASUS/high-end motherboard it's easy to overclock to 3.5-4GHz as long as it has a reasonably robust heatsink/fan. water cooled? Maybe even better. I don't currently use it, but can attribute it to a small bitcoin mining machine. We will see.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • A bit worn

Very good for an old LGA775 processor

I installed this processor and had no problems with it. I always buy a quality motherboard and was able to overclock this bad boy to 3.6GHz! The stability is amazing!

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Excellent processor. compared to penta. 4 board.

I used this processor on a motherboard I bought from the same seller (see other review) and it worked great! It was easy to install, lightning fast, and works seamlessly with Windows 7. Be patient with the initial setup as the process takes a bit of time, but it's worth it. A fantastic upgrade for old slow devices without having to buy a whole new system. I used this processor to upgrade my HP Pavilion 510c from a Pentium 3 board and processor to a Pentium 4 board and processor. Doesn't matter!

Decent processor for overclocking

I bought this processor in June 2010 to replace an old processor for my brother's computer to run WoW (World of Warcraft) with decent performance and to play on a then budget. Over time, this processor has become decent for running older games and just everyday use. This is not a high-end gaming processor, but when overclocked it is very good in all aspects of performance. My brother and I overclocked this processor to 3.2GHz on the stock heatsink it came with and idle temps were around 42C and

Worked best right away in internal components

Out of the box my computer was working with no errors or blue screens in less than 15 minutes. I was concerned it was a pull but they said it had been tested and found to be very valuable.

Great processor! Happy Intel customer!

I've been with Intel since my first computer. I've always been happy with their products, not only because they work well, but also because their products are built to last. I bought this processor for use in a DVR computer system I was building. The DVR computer stores and plays Media Center recordings as well as high definition TV shows and movies. So far, this processor can play all these videos (both SD and HD) without any problems. When I play an HD video from iTunes in full screen, the…
