I replaced an old mechanical pool timer with this PE153 to control my main pool filter pump, booster pump (vacuum pump) and pool heater. The instruction manual that came with the product is a bit difficult to understand. But Intermatic's customer service was very helpful and answered my question quickly. In the end it got installed and works like a charm. I am completely satisfied with my purchase for my money.

Works well. As described. The first one was defective but they sent me a replacement. The first failed during a frost, all pipes froze. He then began to work slowly, one hour behind every 24 hours. Set the manual controls to turn on the pumps when you know it's going to be cold.

Second time this model didn't last 4 years. Currently, the second timer does not turn off at the scheduled time. 7 years ago I had a craftsman who renovated the pool and the equipment and now the meantime has failed for the third time. I hope to find something that lasts more than 2-4 years. Ron
