Good quality item. Assembled it looked better than the original. Just a note. If the screws are not screwed in. You probably got it on the wrong side. There are screw holes on one side of the metal stand.

The gimbal itself was of good quality. Looked stronger than the original. The only issue I had was with the bolt threads, which didn't seem to be very well finished. I had to knock them out by fully seating the screws prior to installation, but the installation went fine afterward.

Pivot Top Perfect fit on the steering column. The bottom of the pivot slid to the forearm, but I couldn't get the bolt in with the universal joint installed, even though it was rotating when it was removed. We had to remove a significant amount of metal from the joint to allow the bolt to be tightened.

After searching several junkyards I was able to find a used part and it was always the same story. After a drive, the steering wheel felt very loose and wobbly while driving and my suspicions were correct as I was unable to turn left a day after turning the steering wheel to the left. I bought this piece because it was supposed to fit my 2008 Ford Escape and I haven't had this problem since! It's also brand new, so I don't expect this issue to crop up for a while; Now I feel a million times…
