Padding is soft, appears to be of good quality but is tiny. .can't use it. Maybe if I had a miniature horse or a miniature dog.

Thanks to the great lining I felt so much better using an old farm leather harness that I use on our Clydesdale. I was worried about the saddle rubbing against the withers and that should definitely be avoided!

Soft but not very soft. I got the blue because it was a cheaper color and some of the blue seems to have transferred to the towel when the towel was wet. (I use them to route some seat belts in the back of my car to hold things in my folded back seat without denting the faux leather at the top of the seat back.)
