The price is right, the quality is decent. At the end, the screw eye required for wall mounting is screwed in. Just unscrew it from the end and screw it to the wall.

Seems overpriced by about 20% and the wood is quite soft so dents and dents are easy to see. On the other hand, there aren't many alternatives and I don't think they are cheaper.

I was concerned that this stand would not hold my western saddle as the pictures show an English saddle being placed on a stand. I wanted to put a folding stand next to where I would saddle my horse. It's strong and holds my western saddle well. My suggestion is that the seller put a picture of a western saddle on it because I almost didn't buy it because it only showed an English saddle.

Love this saddle! It holds the saddle very well and just falls out when not in use. Beautiful and beautiful tree! I have my own stall and like to put it in my wash/care stall. I take the saddle off the stand and put it in the grooming stall when I get the horse ready to wear the saddle. When I don't need it I don't even notice it because it hangs very flat.

To my disappointment I found that this seatpost could not be installed in drywall with the hardware provided. The screw just pulls out, leaving a dusty hole. However, it screws easily into the tree and is durable. It supports my 17ft 5in saddle when I flip the saddle, but the post isn't really long or wide enough to really provide support like a stationary wall-mounted saddlepost. If you had a wide tree saddle or a larger saddle, you may need something sturdier. In a pinch, for $20 it works.

I don't know what might confuse some others but this seat stand works fine. It is durable, collapsible and inexpensive. Good quality wood and fittings. This is not a high end seat post but it is what is shown in the photo and works great. A small or medium English saddle is more suitable than a medium or large western saddle. Our backs hang at the bottom of the tree, but since the center of gravity is in the front, this isn't a problem. A western saddle is often more centered.
