Works great and is easy to set up. Perfect for a quick song or a longer message. Unfortunately this comes in 2 packs, when we received this order it had 2 boxes but only 1 item. The other box was empty. Be sure to open all the stuff before you think you have everything. Amazing it was great when they tried to solve this problem on their side. They worked great for recording the baby's heartbeat as a Mother's Day gift for grandparents-to-be! The instructions were very easy and the recording sounded great. Very loud and clear even after being placed in a plush toy. We ended up taping the slider as a precaution to ensure it stays in "play" mode while inside the plushie and doesn't accidentally record a new message. I can definitely recommend this product for price and performance.

I am ordering this for a plush I crocheted for my little grandson. He loves Spirit Riding Free so I crocheted a horse and recorded the theme song. Due to the size of the sound recorder, I can fit it into the horse's face (putting the recorder in the pocket before placing it on the face). Now my grandson is crazy about plush and takes it with him all the time. The battery still works after 2 months! Since the battery is small, I recommend packing the recorder in a bag to avoid possible damage to

**3 month update: I haven't had any problems with mine. They suffered falls and abuse from 18-month-old children. I have recorded many times how they learn to speak better. Mine are pretty loud. I tried some others that were flat buttons. I was hoping to attach them to a practice board I made as they are not flat on the back. and it was totally CR4P. Inventiv makes a great product, I've bought and repurchased about 4 times already. I love making toys and putting a heart in it with a voice box gave the toys they were added to a special uniqueness that can't just be added with fabric and thread. I love that you can change batteries and overwrite the messages being played. I like to use a velcro sock to hold my vocal cords so you don't spend a lot of time making a sleeve, a baby sock and sewing the velcro on (fold it a few times so it's not…

Not quite what I was hoping for. The 30 second recording is great and I love that it lights up on playback. If the toy is thin enough, it looks like a heart is beating inside. Cons: - Not noisy at all. You almost have to put the toy to your ear to hear it. - When the recording is finished, you have to let go of the recorder. My kids recorded their voices and we sewed a Dictaphone into a stuffed animal for their dad for Valentine's Day and he loved it - and they loved it.
