Fills the Ethernet gap

ioSafe does not provide 10Gb/s fireproof/waterproof NAS, only 1Gb/s. I used this USB-C Gen 2 Duo as a replacement for my 1GB ioSafe NAS on my 10GB network. While the Duo is cheaper than a NAS, I do have to share it, meaning the computer it's connected to needs to be on 24/7. I need fireproof/waterproof features so I can recommend this product although I would prefer a 10Gigabit NAS.

Pros
  • External hard drives
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

ioSafe Duo - Highly Reliable

I purchased an ioSafe Duo RAID 1 USB 3.2 (16TB (2 x 8TB)) Fireproof/Waterproof Desktop Hard Drive. This is about the fifth ioSafe I've bought, but the first duo. All ioSafe models that I have purchased have worked well and lasted a long time. I only really upgraded when the storage capacity increased. Duo in Raid Mirror mode added another layer of redundancy to my already solid backup routine. So far I've been very happy with the performance and speed of the duo. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • External Hard Drives
Cons
  • No
