I have a 4TB ioSafe in just three .

I bought a 4TB ioSafe and it failed after only three years. 4TB of information is lost forever. I am not impressed with this device or their customer service. All I can say is back up your stuff on Carbonite. A backup that is not on a portable hard drive.

Pros
  • Storage
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Cannot compete with ioSafe for added protection

The third one purchased from our company. Easy setup. Very good customer service. Bonus points that it's made in America! On the other hand, the white powder that's on it straight out of the box is fine. So I sent one back. . . The replacement had a yellow card explaining that it was part of the manufacturing process.

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Almost never

IoSafe - a lot of money for ?

Before writing this review, let me state that I am a professional writer/producer and my technical skills are about average. I usually buy products based on reviews or articles. My files are my livelihood. If the hard drive fails, I lose years of irreplaceable work. Regardless, the file transfer process is tedious and I hate doing it. Then I came across an article about this product and jumped at the chance to buy it. I can't say I'm impressed. Maybe I'm missing the point, but I thought it did…

Pros
  • External Hard Drives
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance
