DO NOT STICK! on consumables and art tools

Wow. I'm not usually a big critic, but this stuff was REALLY awful. It didn't stick to the leg of the laminate table at all, or even to itself. I wrapped it around two table legs and within minutes it started falling off. Don't waste your money!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Adhesive tape, without sticky properties.

I think I should have read more reviews. I'm used to blue masking tape. A lot of time has been spent taping the trim and if you just walk on the tape it can shift. It's just a band at the moment. It doesn't stick to anything I've tried using it for.

  • GOLS certified

Used for art. No: Paint, Wall Treatments & Accessories

I use this tape for art. Attaching papers to the drawing board. It doesn't stick to my paper, but loses its adhesion very quickly. Forget postponing your work. You will need another strip of tape. I mostly use pastels and this tape just can't handle it. The branded version of this tape that you buy at a hardware store works much better.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Strong painter's tape

This masking tape is very well designed. it sticks for a long time and seals tightly. It really helped me to draw windows and light switches. It came off easily even after a week of use. This masking tape is way better than the cheap tape you can buy at the discount store. I would definitely recommend this tape to anyone painting their home.

Pros
  • Top marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Works great on a variety of surfaces

I love this band. This worked great for several different projects. It was thick enough to prevent leakage, the adhesive was strong and stayed in place but was easy to remove when I was done. I was able to use it to wrap the handle of a pole on which I sealed the cork. The stretching allowed me to get a good fit the first time. I recommend this tape for various uses!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Low repairability

>> DOES THE JOB: Paint, Wall Treatments & Accessories

BENEFITS -- Works well, good price, adequate adhesion, easy to remove leaving no residue. COMMENTS (not necessarily advantages or disadvantages - depending on intended use) Compared to 3M blue masking tape (original and standard) - 3M has a much stronger adhesion. IPG may be the best choice for delicate surfaces (e.g. paper). 3M paper appears to be more durable and less flexible. IPG may be better for heavily curved lines. 3M is probably better for drawing straight lines. 3M is a lighter blue…

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Better than branded labeling material at least

I recently used up that roll of tape and started a branded roll (3M/Scotch Original) and found how much better Pro Mask is. 3M tape seems to be thinner and often tears when I pull it off the roll - not sure if it's weaker, thinner or stronger tack (maybe both). All I know is that Pro Mask was easier to work with. I should note that I don't use it for painting, I use it for temporary wall markings - I often mount/hang TVs, mirrors, shelves etc and use masking tape. Mark center points, studs…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Good compromise between price and quality

I usually prefer to use green frogtape when I can, but it's so expensive that sometimes it doesn't make sense for an entire room or house level. If you just need a ribbon for a small project like crafts then this ribbon is an acceptable level of quality at a great price. For the record, I also used the worst masking tape from the dollar store so when I see it I know the quality sucks. This ribbon holds up fairly well (but not so well that you'll regret it) and can be torn off the roll without…
