The description of this item says it is made of wood. The manufacturer in the Q&A states it is MDF and implies it was made in Japan. Neither is correct. Chipboard shelves covered with plastic veneer. The packaging clearly says "Made in China". Revain tells me that this item has been marked "non-returnable" by the manufacturer. No wonder as I doubt it will survive the return postage despite the styrofoam packaging.
