📸 Irix 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone Lens for Nikon: Supreme Quality and Precision Review

This is a tough and sharp lens. The high aperture makes this lens ideal for night and Milky Way photography. This lens has become my go-to lens for any type of landscape photography.

The lens is excellent. I bought it for astrophotography but have used it for other shots as well. Nice and sharp, easy to focus.

Takes excellent, high-quality wide-angle shots. It took 8 days to get to my house but I am very happy with this lens. It's manual focus, but there's a click to infinity, which is perfect for me. This is a well built professional lens with little to no vignette or soft edges. I have a Canon 5DM3 and am very happy with the performance of this lens on this camera.

I really wish I would like it but I got mine and based on the condition of the box I have a feeling it has been opened several times and possibly returned. The main problem is that the infinity focus is turned off in the center of the lens. I'll try another specimen, I've read the reviews and I think it's a great lens, the build quality is fantastic, the chromatic abortion is great and the lens' outward focusing is great.

I wanted to like this lens, I really did. I was fascinated by the innovative design, I love manual focus lenses and the possibility of using a normal screw on the polarizer excited me. The left one was very soft and fuzzy on the left side of the frame, so I think it was a decentering issue. I contacted the manufacturer and didn't get a response for a few days as I wanted to exchange it and try another one, but due to the long response time I just sent the lens back for a refund. Wonderful lens. It has a very solid build and design, I love the all metal design along with the very easy to read gauges. Focusing at infinity worked out of the box, no adjustment needed. This is a very wide angle lens, not a fisheye (it doesn't look like a GoPro). Produces ultra-clear images and straight horizons without looking too far.
