Description of πŸ”’ Rubber Wheel Chock with Eye Hook - 9" L x 8" W x 6" H (Model 68-9E)

Straight-sided wedge shape reduces the risk of unwanted movement of parked trucks and warehouse equipment with tire diameters of 17.5 to 22.5". Molded natural rubber construction weighs 8 pounds, and is a durable and economic option for preventing movement of parked vehicles. Treads on the chock's surface grip the wheel to prevent slippage. Attached eye hook accepts a rope or chain to secure the chock to an area. Meets OSHA regulation 1910.178 (k).

HARD PLUGS: Immobilizers and Wheel Chocks

I've trawled through all the local auto parts stores and a few truck stops looking for a "real" set of wheel chocks for my full size truck. Most of them are made of different plastics and are made in China. I saw them here, read the reviews and ordered a pair. I'm glad I did. These are true HD heavy duty rubber wedges. Looks like they should last a lifetime. Thread a 6-foot webbing pipe line through the grommets for easy retrieval. No regret

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • No Automatic

MY PROBLEMS ARE OVER!

I haven't been able to park uphill for years until now! I tested the last one on a steep slope on a very rainy and slippery Christmas night. Brake, reverse, accelerate a bit, holds like a master! I thought it would pass but no! I felt like I hit a curb and my Volvo didn't move. Because it's black, it's less likely to be plucked. Now I can sleep at night. BUY NOW! I get 2 more just for fun and extra gifts ;-)

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not the best

Tough and durable in tools and gear

We travel in a 14,000 lb fifth wheel camper. I had a bad habit of forgetting to take off the plastic wedges and driving over and destroying them when exiting. I can tell you that you will not destroy this one, nor will you be able to drag a pendant over it. It holds the pendant firmly and motionless. A bit heavy but it should be for strength. I highly recommend this choke. It has an eyelet where you can attach a rope so you can pull it out without going to the hoops. rope not included.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

"Real " wheel chock

We had some yellow plastic chocks for our trailer but one day we hitched up a trailer to drive away, pulled it out and went right over the wedge without realizing it. We figured if the chock does what it's supposed to do, at least you should feel like something's wrong when trying to ride it! These wheel chocks are a real thing - heavy and big enough to keep the trailer from rolling. They're built the same as those used on commercial trucks and should last forever. Good value for money…

Pros
  • Treads on the surface of the wheel chock hold the wheel and prevent slipping
Cons
  • Not bad

Great design with metal core

Not pictured but block is hollow with rubber coated metal core. This creates a durable last that doesn't slip with rubber ribs on both sides. However, this is also a weak point in the design, since my truck weighs 1600 kilos. A wedge was crushed on each rear wheel. I replaced it with Vestil LWC-15 durable laminated rubber. Vestil is heavier, but it won't fail, as will a hollow wedge. This is an excellent wedge for light vehicles even on steep surfaces. With a heavy vehicle on a steep surface I…

Pros
  • Complies with OSHA 1910.178(k)

Much bigger than I thought

They are a lot bigger than I thought. I know there are measurements on it but I was impressed with the size when I received it. I used several smaller ledges that were only 3 inches tall. They were mostly suitable for flat surfaces, but I've moved and the driveway to the house where I live is very steep. My boat ended up crashing into the old wedges, hitting the house and fence, and blowing a hole in the wall of my house, destroying the fence. big enough that hopefully the trailer's tires won't

Pros
  • Attached eye hook accepts a rope or chain to secure the lock
Cons
  • Good but not great
