A few minutes after opening, there was a huge crack.

I've been looking forward to this stress ball all week. 5 minutes after opening I noticed that Amazon put two stickers directly on the stress ball and the label was torn in half. I tried to tear off the stickers very carefully as I saw reviews that said they can be brittle only to have a large tear in a very different location from the stickers. I'm so sad.

Pros
  • Massagers and Equipment
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Fine sand starts to flow out at the end as soon as it loosens

Does what it's supposed to do The outer shell lasted a very short time before it started to thin and crack. As soon as it breaks throw it away, otherwise it will leave colored stains all over the place and the integrity is gone, if it breaks fine sand will begin to flow out of the end. I'll look for another type that doesn't have a metal ring to secure the hole as the molded non-opening type seems to be more durable.

Pros
  • Massage balls
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

love this stress ball

I love this stress ball, but know that you should treat it as a "throw away" item. I completely destroy one every 2-3 months, so they are by no means "permanent" or long-lived. As others have said, there is definitely a "breaking-in period". Softening lasts several days. I would say that after a month or two the outer layer wears out, then the last, inner layer cracks and scatters finely ground sand. It's usually a gentle crack so it doesn't explode or anything.

Pros
  • health & home
Cons
  • boring packaging
