I gave up and went with a platinum connector instead

The description says they work with 23AWG wire but I've had a very hard time getting a 23AWG wire into these to get plugs. Also, these connectors kept getting stuck in my small crimping tool. If I pulled too hard to pry the connector out of the crimp, the wires would detach. Instead I took a container with Platinum Connectors and they work perfectly.

1 out of 5 crimps with all ITBEBE components failed.

I bought an ITBEBE crimping tool kit, RJ45 ends and Cat6 cable termination boots and I regret to say that I got everything back because the crimping tool produced 1 out of 5 bad crimps. I don't know if it's a combination of all of them, but the continuity cuts when crimping weren't flush, my cable tester kept saying there was a short, and my devices only got 100 FDX speeds instead of 1000 FDX. I've used my old pliers with ends that have a loading bar and they've been perfect every time. The…

Connectors that didn't work so I'll add my experience to hopefully make it easier for others. I have a Klein Tools VDV226-110 Ratchet Modular Crimping Plier - B076MGPQZQITBEBE 50 pcs Cables - B07G2Q1KSDC UL Listed Cable, Flush Mount Rating (cm), Category 6 Unplated Copper Wire, Category 6 Wholesale Wire (Category 6 Ethernet Cable, 1000ft) – B0049L24TQ They all worked together with no issues. I haven't crimped Ethernet cables for a long time and have found the pass-through connectors/crimps easy

Works great with AWG 23 CAT6 solid wire and Klein VDV226-110

Verification that they work great with AWG 23 CAT6 solid wire. Modular Data Connector Pass-Thru RJ45 CAT6 Pass-Through Connector Pack of 50 Miniature Connectors Not Working. Not even close. ITBEBE connectors worked the first time - quick and perfect connection, passed. I will try the Klein connectors on an older/thinner cable and suspect they will work, but not with 23 gauge cable FWIW the Klein connector build quality looks good and the VDV226-110 is a great tool.

They work well but there is no quality control.

I use them with small tools. The crimper works great with these connectors. I also use a Cat6 24 AWG cable from Monoprice. I couldn't even figure out how to use that in 23awg. 24AWG fits perfectly. But so far I like these. The cable easily goes through the holes. The problem is that some of them are missing gold contacts. Not happy about that. Try them before you waste time plugging them in, because they won't work without contact.

Not recommended for 23AWG Solid Copper CAT6A

I bought them for 23AWG Solid Copper CAT6A. The individual wires barely fit, but the wire grommet doesn't. I connected 24 AWG stranded CAT6A cable and they worked fine hence the three stars. This was my first "pass-through" style and I didn't find them any easier or faster than regular RJ45 connectors. I usually get 1 error in 100 non-end-to-end completions, so there is no improvement. Takes longer due to wire cleaning; Bought three "flush" crimping machines to test and none of them worked…

3 crimp attempts, all 3 are either 1Gbps or won't connect

I'm not a newbie, I've been making cables for about 20 years and using straight through connectors for 3 years. On a 40ft run of Cat 6 I made 3 attempts to terminate the cable. 2 times the line only negotiated 100 MBit, once they got no link at all. I made my 4th try with a competitor's Cat 5 passthrough and only then was I able to achieve gigabit speeds. I use a good quality Platinum Tools pass-through crimp tool. I've used Platinum Tools connectors in the past, albeit Category 5e, and have…

I wish it would work but it's frustrating.

I made 3 cables with these connectors on each end. One of the connectors needed extra pressure with an RJ45 crimping tool. The plugs on the other two cables did not work. I didn't have a CAT5 tester but I have a multimeter. I checked for continuity by touching the ends of the wires threaded through the connector and gold stud. Pin 1 and pin 8 seem to have the most problems. I added a few more plugs to the second non-working cable. Same results. No data. I went to the local hardware store and…

    Useless and fragile

Totally useless on CAT6A UTP and doesn't last long. Using Platinum Tools CAT6+ ferrules with a Platinum Tools crimping tool is much better and ensures a good end fit and durability. I've used these and other tips as a last resort, but the failure rate is HIGH. If you decide to use them, use a CAT5e cable, possibly CAT6 UTP as well, and you MAY get better results. I don't want to use a product advertised for CAT6A that doesn't work. Raven should be ashamed.

RJ45 connector terminates on lost connection

These RJ45 connectors are all undersized resulting in a loose connection to the ethernet ports of all devices. So weak, in fact, that the connection regularly breaks when the cables are pinched and does not reconnect until you reinsert the plug correctly. I realized how widespread the problem is. Switches, routers, patch panels, wall outlets, PC ports, they all lose their connection. I even used a cable tester to make sure I didn't have too much crosstalk on my end devices when I plugged…
