Shovel well made: Shovels

Product well made. Has the ability to become a pickaxe. Would give it another star but the spade is 1/2 to 2/3 the size of spades I've had in the past.

Does the job when not digging cement.

This is a sharp shovel. It definitely pierced the ground if it wasn't solid. I'm sure the composite handle is very strong as it flexes a bit, but I see many uses for a portable shovel like this. For example when camping with a fire or small holes for things. You can't force anyone to dig their own grave or anything except small holes.

Sturdy and versatile

I bought this survival shovel for my 8 year old camper for training. i really like it It's durable and can be used for a variety of activities beyond simply digging with a shovel. The sharp edge on one side gives you a kind of hatchet. It works well. There is a saw cut on the other side that I haven't experimented with. It has a built in shard, whistle and (for me) the most important flint to start a fire. There's also the added bonus of tons of hollow, durable tubes for storing small lanterns,
