Works as described but may be easier to set up.

Does the job and is easy to install. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there is no way to fine tune the stop zone. You are limited to where the pin meets one of the small holes on the opposite panel. Intermediate assembly would be ideal for my door.

Pros
  • Useful beyond its intended purpose
Cons
  • Sad device

Same quality decades later!

I just bought an apartment in a 50 year old building with heavy doors. They were installed on my doors many, many years ago but had been repainted many times and I wanted new and shiny ones. I think the new ones are made with the same quality as decades ago! Heavy, strong, fits my heavy doors. Really high quality. Replacement tips can be found as of May 2020 by searching online for IVES 09-310 for approximately $0.55 each.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

Suitable for large pivots with little force.

I had to drill out the plastic bushing to properly install the front door hinge pin (which was a little difficult to do safely). You can easily remove the white bushing for larger hinge pins, but the stopper is most likely the dangling hinge. The pads are a little soft, so I add extra detail to the other hinge to prevent the doorknob from hitting the wall, allowing the door to open 90Β°.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • This pisses me off

Much stronger than any other hinged doorstop I've tried.

This design does not allow the door to open 90 degrees. Works great for our situation, but useless if you need to open the door leaf further. The look is a bit industrial, but for us the pros far outweigh the cons. Our other hinge stops wore out rubber incredibly quickly because the rubber covering the metal parts is extremely thin. The rubber on them is as thick as it looks.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Suitable for large pivots with little force.

I had to drill out the plastic bushing to properly install the front door hinge pin (which was a little difficult to do safely). You can easily remove the white bushing for a larger loop pin, but the stopper will most likely hang loose on the loop. The pads are a little soft, so I add an extra one to the other hinge to prevent the doorknob from hitting the wall, allowing the door to open 90Β°.

  • Model number: 69F15
Cons
  • I will add later

Well made but not for all situations

These doorstops are heavy metal and well made, but there are only 5 positions the stopper can be adjusted to (see 5 holes). Unfortunately, I wanted a position between two positions, but that wasn't possible. My contractor convinced me NOT to use this type of doorstop on my solid core doors. He said they were good for hollow section doors, but on heavier doors they often bent the hinge or pulled screws out of the door frame.

Pros
  • Non-scratch rubber tips
Cons
  • Not safe

I bought this because the reviews said it was good. In our front door I can't use a regular floor stop as the top arc of the walls would hit the top of the door. first before making contact with the skirting board. It's a good item, but the downside is that the door won't open MORE than 90 degrees. It could be that your door doesn't have moldings or moldings, but what doors don't? I actually took it apart and cut out the grooves and then filed the slot where the bolt is. This then allowed me to

Pros
  • Anti-slip adjustment
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
