Great tool. Works as it should.

The tool works great. It takes a little practice to properly expand the whistle, but it's not difficult to learn. The 1/2 inch pipe expands like the wind. The 3/4" definitely requires more effort and the 1" pipe is a challenge. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes a lot easier. battery powered version of this instrument.

  • great product
Cons
  • doubtful

Works perfectly. for pipe, fittings and accessories

I have used all sockets from 1/2 to 1 inch. Any size worked, but I caution users, 1/2 Pex is fine, but 3/4 and 1 require a lot of force to stretch. It's helpful to pay attention to the position you are in when flaring and you only have a few seconds after removing the tool to install the flared pin onto the fitting. Also, make sure your last extension is fully inserted and you have fully closed the maximum extension tool.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Good but not great

Did the job well.

Did a good job. and I'm glad because I didn't want to buy an automatic tool. It was easy to use and after I finished my first fitting. I got through that and the rest was a breeze. I can't believe how easy it is to make watertight connections with this aquamarine PEX tubing. Went downstairs every day to check for leaks. but so far so good. I will keep the tool if I ever need to do any plumbing or my family/friends need to borrow it.

The Wirsbo system rocks!

I was a bit hesitant to buy a tool at a low price. But no problems so far and I've replaced about half the pipes in my house with Wirsbo. The hand pump can be a bit difficult to squeeze, so be prepared to use some muscle power if you're doing 3/4 inch or more, or if you're in a tight situation. In general, using Wirsbo is a pleasure. There has never been a leak, which is a lot more than I can say for soldering. Buy this tool, some PEX cutters and you're good to go.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Quality

Save money and great workout. Nothing for big projects.

I bought this to save money on a plumbing job. After all, I probably should have just bought the Milwaukee version to save my muscles. It's really not easy to use it multiple times or anywhere it's not on the ground. You must be very strong to use it repeatedly. If you only make 1 or 2 adjustments, this might work. I had to make 20 adjustments and by the time I was done I was almost unable to use the device because my muscles were sore.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Low-cost option for a reason.

I bought this to do PEX for my laundry renovation. I had to move the water heater from one corner to the other and move the washer and dryer down a few feet. Installing the first 3/4 inch tube pumps requires some force and can be tricky when connecting to existing plumbing in tight spaces. However for occasional use on 3/4" pipe or less. as a budget option is ideal. I ran into a problem when trying to extend a 1" pipe already installed in the ceiling I was working from a ladder and couldn't…
